UPCOMING EVALUATIONS

At City SC Frederick we offer soccer programs for all levels, ranging from development to competitive travel. We strive to make our player tryout process transparent and smooth for all involved.

EVERY PLAYER is required to register for tryouts, and must attend at least one session to be eligible for team selection. 

 

2026-2027 TRYOUTS

Registration is open for 2026-2027 season tryouts. Please register in PlayMetrics.  

Age groups for teams are changing for the 2026-2027 season. Review FAQs.

(Note: You will be invited to create a PlayMetrics account before you can register for tryouts.)

Ages: Rising 3rd Grade – Rising 10th Grade (August 1, 2010-July 31, 2018)

If you did not attend tryouts and are interested in joining a team for the 2026-2027 season, please register and we will follow up to discuss a time to tryouts.

GIRLS

U9/U10: Rising 3rd and 4th grade

U12: Rising 6th grade

U13: Rising 7th grade

U14: Rising 8th grade

U15/U16: Rising 9th and 10th grade

BOYS

U11: Rising 5th grade

U12: Rising 6th grade. Seeking a goalkeeper!

U13: Rising 7th grade

U16: 10th grade

TRYOUT LOGISTICS

  • Players must attend at least one session for their age group to be eligible for team selection for the 2026-2027 season
  • Players must attend the session for their rising age group, NOT the age/level they played in the 2025-2026 season

WHAT TO WEAR AND BRING

  • Wear a black shirt, shorts, and socks with no soccer club affiliation branding
  • Wear shin guards, socks, and soccer cleats
  • Bring water and a soccer ball (properly inflated)

There will be opportunities to sign up for development level teams, separate from annual evaluations.

US Youth Soccer, US Club Soccer, and American Youth Soccer Organization announced in March 2025, that for the 2025-2026 season rostering parameters will not change. For the 2026-2027 season, rostering parameters will be based on school-year calendar (September 1 – August 31). Review FAQs.
